Virtual, Inc. Sponsors Jimmy Fund Day at Fenway to Support Cancer Research and Care
WAKEFIELD, Mass. – June 5, 2026 – Virtual, Inc., a strategic management partner for membership-based organizations, is proud to serve as a major sponsor of Jimmy Fund Day at Fenway on June 6, continuing the company’s nearly two decades of support for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's mission to advance cancer research and patient care.
Since 1992, Jimmy Fund Day at Fenway has raised more than $9 million, giving Dana-Farber patients, supporters, and sponsors the unique opportunity to play on the field at Fenway Park while raising critical funds to support the fight against cancer.
Virtual's support for Jimmy Fund Day spans nearly two decades, beginning in 2007 when the company joined Team Russo, a fundraising team created for the event by client Bob Russo, General Manager of the PCI Security Standards Council, in honor of his son and longtime Dana-Farber patient Robert Russo Jr. Robert died of cancer in 2020, and Bob passed away from cancer in 2025. Since then, Virtual has continued its partnership with Team Russo, raising nearly $200,000 for Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund.
“For the Virtual team, Jimmy Fund Day has always been more than a corporate sponsorship,” said Virtual, Inc. Chairman Andy Freed. “After losing both Virtual's founder Bruce Rogers and longtime client and friend Bob Russo to cancer, and now facing it myself for the second time, this cause has become increasingly personal – and only deepened our collective belief in the importance of Dana-Farber's work for patients and families. We're proud to be a part of it.”
“Giving back to our communities is a core value at Virtual, and our longstanding support for Jimmy Fund Day is one of the ways we put that into practice,” said Virtual, Inc. CEO Greg Kohn. “Seeing our employees raise funds, cheer on patients, and return year after year is something we're genuinely proud of, and we hope it inspires others to support this vital cause.”
“Virtual, Inc. has been an important supporter of Jimmy Fund Day over the years,” said Caitlin Fink, Vice President of the Jimmy Fund. “We are thrilled to have their support as we team up together against cancer.”
