Mike brings more than 30 years of experience across technology, standards organizations, and nonprofit leadership to Virtual's advisory practice. He serves as Executive Director for the NFC Forum and has held the same role for organizations including the OWASP Foundation and IOWN Global Forum, giving him a practitioner's understanding of what it takes to run complex, global membership organizations from the inside. Before Virtual, Mike was CEO and Executive Director of the Bluetooth SIG, where he helped grow the technology from under a million to more than ten million products shipping monthly. He also served as Chief Community Officer at Water.org, and held senior roles at Intel and Apple. Mike has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas.
